When I graduated from college I was swamped with information. And opinions. But not much knowledge. At least not the kind that was based on real experience. The knowledge passed down by the career counselors was . . . well . . . kind of horrible. But what do you expect a College Career Guidance Counselor to know about strategy consulting? Sure they were very well informed about the firms, the people at those firms and the interview process, but they were in no position to help me figure out if it would be right for me because they hadn’t done it. So I had to go do it and figure it out for myself.
